The DAOBet Blockchain is based on DPoS, which relies on a set of validators nodes that are responsible for creating and validating new blocks in the blockchain. These validators participate in the consensus protocol, called RANDPA.
Validator candidates can stake their own tokens and/or have tokens "delegated" to them by token holders. The DAObet Blockchain will have 21 validators at start, but over time this will increase to 100 validators according to a predefined schedule. The validators are determined by who has the most stake delegated to them — the top 21 validator candidates with the most stake will become Active Validators and generate blocks.
Validators earn tokens as block rewards, generated by emission.
In order to run a full-node on the DAObet recommended system configuration is the following:
4 Core CPU
16 Gb RAM
200 Gb SSD
In addition to running a DAObet node, Validators should develop monitoring, alerting and management solutions.
