DAOBet tokenomics description

BET token

The basis of the DAObet blockchain economy is the BET system token. The BET Token is used for

  • staking resources for CPU and NET to obtain bandwidth in the blockchain and executing transactions,

  • buying RAM to ensure that data is stored in the DAObet blockchain

  • staking for VOTE to participate in the Governance and getting the opportunity to be a network validator. Network validators are rewarded for blocks and VOTE in the form of issued BET Tokens.

Emission

The emission rate depends on the number of BET staked for the VOTE resource and changes according to the rule. With an activated stake of <33%, the annual emission is 20%. With an activated stake of >66%, the annual emission is 10%. In the interval between 33 and 60 activated stakes, the annual emission smoothly varies from 20% to 10%, depending on the activated stake.

The issued tokens are distributed according to the following rules:

  • 20% of the issued tokens are sent to the blockchain fund and transferred to the eosio.saving account

  • 20% of the issued tokens are received by validators as a reward for blocks and are transferred to the eosio.bpay account. From that account, the funds are then sent to the validators

  • 60% of the issued tokens are received by validators as remuneration for VOTE and are transferred to the eosio.vpayaccount. From that account, the funds are then sent to the validators

Blockchain fund

20% of the issued tokens are sent to the eosio.saving account. The eosio.saving account is controlled by most validators (⅔ + 1). The funds located on eosio.saving are intended to sponsor network improvements.

Validators’ permission

All validator keys are listed as keys and can be found in eosio.prods. eosio.prods has several types of permissions:

  • eosio.prods@active – supermajority of validators is ⅔ of the total number of validators + 1. This permutation is used to manage system accounts, such as:

    • eosio

    • eosio.saving

    • eosio.ram

    • eosio.ramfee

    • other system contracts

  • eosio.prods@major – the majority of validators is ½ of the total number of validators + 1

  • eosio.prods@minor – the minority of validators is ⅓ of the total number of validators + 1

In DAObet, the number of validators varies depending on the activated stake. Thus, the required number of validators to achieve a quorum varies proportionally. See the table below:
